HOMBURG from Cuijk in North Brabant was a producer of meat products.

In the 1960s, HOMBURG sponsored an amateur team with riders who mainly came from North-East Brabant.

In 1965 HOMBURG also sponsored a team with 7 riders in the Dutch Professional Tour. There were several teams of opportunity in this Dutch Professional Tour to get as many Dutch riders as possible to the start.

The TELEVIZIER team had 16 riders under contract, of which only 7 were allowed to ride for TELEVIZIER in the Dutch Professional Tour, so it was possible that 7 TELEVIZIER riders rode for the HOMBURG team in the Dutch Professional Tour in 1965: Henk Cornelisse, Piet Damen, Huub Harings, Henk Nijdam, Jacques van der Klundert, Cees van Espen and Rik Wouters.

Henk Cornelisse won the Points Classification that year.
