ITALY NATIONAL TEAM OLYMPIC GAMES 2008

During the 2008 Olympic road race in Beijing, Davide Rebellin finished 2nd.

He later had to return his silver medal because he tested positive for the use

of doping (Cera).

Rebellin obviously did not agree with this and considered himself innocent.

Davide Rebellin remained active as a professional until the 2022 season.

Shortly after his retirement, he was hit by a truck during a training ride on November 30, 2022. Rebellin died on the spot, the sad end of a great cyclist.
