After persistent stories and confessions from ex-Rabobank riders that various types of doping had been used in the past by the RABOBANK team, RABOBANK decided to stop the team after 2012. One of the rules in the contract was that RABOBANK would immediately withdraw in the event of doping use. At the end of 2012, they kept their word and RABOBANK withdrew.

Rabobank still has a contract running for 2013 which is respected by Rabobank, which means that the team will continue in 2013 under the name BLANCO !!!!!!!!!!!

As soon as another sponsor is found, Rabobank will withdraw completely. Just before the Tour de France of 2013, Belkin will become the new sponsor.

Rabobank will remain involved in the Continental team, which will continue under the KNWU flag from 2013 as the RABOBANK-KNWU Development team.
