After the merger with CLAS-CAJASTUR in 1994, a merger with the Belgian/Italian team GB-MG followed in 1995.

This also means that Patrick Lefevere joins the team as team leader (and later Team Manager), which is a great benefit for the MAPEI team.

The team becomes the best team in the Flemish Classics and also in Paris-Roubaix the MAPEI riders colour the race. In 1995 the MAPEI team wins no less than 82 races including: Omloop het Volk, Paris-Roubaix, Tour of Flanders, Championship of Zurich, World Championship time trial, Giro d'Italia, Paris-Brussels and the final standings in the World Cup both as a team and individually (Johan Museeuw).
